Here are the requirements for booking Meadowsweet Bungalow.

Deposit – this is one third of the total, as soon as the booking is made. The booking will be put on the website calendar after the deposit is received. We require your contact details at the time of booking. This is necessary for test and trace purposes, we are legally required to have name, phone numbers, email address and home address for each booking

Balance is to be paid by 8 weeks before start of your stay in the house.

Cancellation policy – there will be full repayment or alternative dates offered if we have to cancel your holiday stay, for example in the case of flood or damage to the house.

If you cancel your holiday, our repayments will be as follows;

  • More than 8 weeks before your booking – you lose your deposit
  • 4-8 weeks before your booking – we repay 50% of the total 
  • 2-4 weeks before your booking – we repay one third of the total
  • 0-2 weeks before your booking – no refund will apply

We recommend taking out travel insurance to cover possible cancellation costs. If you choose not to take out insurance, then you accept responsibility for the loss that you incur due to your cancellation.

If your holiday is cancelled because of any future re-introduction of Government travel restrictions due to Covid, please contact us to discuss a refund or rebooking.

Other – the property will be clean when you arrive – please leave it as you find it.

Meadowsweet Bungalow sleeps 5 adults, please do not exceed this number.

Please bring your own sling if you wish to use the hoist.

Please have consideration for our neighbours.

In the information folder in the house, you will find specific Covid-related advice for how you should leave the house when you go. This involves leaving windows open to air the property, for everyone’s safety and especially that of my cleaner.


  • Please tell us if you wish to bring a dog when you make the booking.
  • No puppies please.   
  • No dogs on beds or furniture.
  • Dogs must not be left alone in the property
  • Fouling of lawn/drive to be cleared up immediately (bags are provided in the house).
  • Any damage or extra cleaning required needs to be reported to the us (see above for phone number) immediately.
  • Please bring your dog’s bed and bedding, and feeding dishes. Also please bring extra towels for drying the dog
